Tall trees, beautiful and green
Wavering in the wind. Unseen
Beneath the foliage, birds
Sing in their own words.
Grass, not yet turned to gold,
Soft clouds, displaying many bold,
Colors of Sunset. Young buds rest
On branches, a bird finds a nest.
Shadows lengthen, sky deepens
Water stills, reflects, and darkens
Birds go to roost, and still
Their voices. The sun will
Sink below the horizon. High,
The stars are scattered in the sky.
